EXTREME WEATHER

EXTREME WEATHER explores the complex entity that is our atmosphere. With discussions of climate change constantly looming and debates of net neutrality pervasive, the atmosphere continues to be a contested site. Combining art works that engage various aspects of our environment, EXTREME WEATHER seeks to illuminate the ways in which we understand our place as beings, both materially and immaterially, in our ethereal world.

Artists include Mike Calway-Fagen, Channel TWo, Rachel K. Garceau, Valerie George, Kelly Kristin Jones, Jeff Kolar, Karen Tauches, Marcia Vaitsman, and Olivia Valentine, and features Radius episodes 5: C.R. Kasprzyk, 11: Jeff Gburek, 21: Rob Ray, 23: Radio Cegeste, 37: Dan Tapper, 54: Kristen Roos, 55: Abinadi Meza, 56: Martin Howse, 58: Carver Audain, and 63: Eric Leonardson.

Accompanying the exhibition is a print catalogue featuring essays by the curator, Rob Ray, and Anna Friz, spreads on arts and environmental resources, along with images and work statements from the artists.
